Countryside Stewardship Scheme Applications are now open!

Farmers and Land Managers – Apply for a Countryside Stewardship (CS)
Agreement to help protect and improve your natural environment

Through the Countryside Stewardship Scheme, Farmers can apply for funding to improve their local environment – from restoring wildlife habitats and creating woodlands to managing flood risk. From working closely with the industry, changes have been made to the scheme this year to expand the options available and make it easier to apply.

Countryside Stewardship will in due course be replaced with the new Environmental Land Management Scheme (ELMS) and by choosing to enter an agreement now, Farmers will be best-placed to benefit from the new agricultural policy once it is fully rolled out in 2024.
