WATER CAPITAL GRANTS APPLICATION WINDOW OPEN

The Countryside Stewardship Mid-Tier Scheme opened for applications 9 February 2022 with applications having to be submitted by 30 July 2022.

As you may be aware, in previous years, clients falling within high priority areas for water quality have qualified for water capital items, such as the roofing over of silage clamps, concrete yard renewal and cross drains. This has changed for the 2023 scheme and now applicants in both high and medium priority areas can qualify for water capital items provided their applications are endorsed by Natural England.

We have been told that endorsements for high priority can be submitted from 9 February 2022 with endorsements for medium priority being invited from 1 April 2022- if there is money left in the pot medium priority will be considered.

Over the past 5 years we have helped to transform clients yards either though whole farm Mid-Tier schemes or through yearly stand alone grants.
